Leadership

Durrette Ofosu is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and graduate of Georgia State University with a dual Bachelors in Economics, and Pre-law with a concentration in International Affairs. She is the proud daughter of a Civil Rights Leader The TSU Freedom Rider 14, Pauline Knight-Ofosu; and a father who is an avid investor, mechanical engineer and was very instrumental in helping her to pursue her career path.

About Her Career

 

Durrette began her career in the Financial Services Profession when she was hired as a protégée of the Vice President of Wachovia Securities and the Senior Vice President of Morgan Keegan and Co., LLC.. She worked diligently and concurrently at both firms (for two and a half years while in college) learning how to provide a customized and comprehensive plan; how to be industry and market specific in the financial industry; and most importantly taking an interest in the issues that heavily impact the economy and investors alike.

Opening Journey Financial

Durrette was invited to join the Mass Mutual Financial Group as a Financial Services Professional during her Senior year at Georgia State University. Since, Durrette has expanded her practice and opened a firm entitled, Journey Financial. Her way of life is to demonstrate daily the Girl Scout Promise “… to make an impact on the world around me,”.
